1.   The magnitude of revelation depends on the magnitude of blessing.

1. Scarcity in revelation is the sign of judgment (3:1)

2. Abundance in revelation is the time of blessing (3:19-21)

3. Our time is the time of greatest blessing (Hebrews 1:1-4)

2.   The purpose of God's revelation is personal.

1. God's personal revelation is the sign of personal relationship.

   1. God's revelation is personal to Samuel (3:3-14)

   2. God's revelation is personal to individuals today

2. Personal revelation may be scarce in the time of abundant general revelation.

   1. Personal revelation comes from the Bible.

   2. Availability of the Bible does not guarantee personal revelation.

3.   The condition for the reception of personal revelation is a heart being right with God.

1. The person who has God's revelation is the most joyful person.

2. Set your heart right with God to receive God's personal revelation.
