to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for
many.
1. You are called to serve God and others. Deut 10:12 And now, O Israel, what does the LORD your God ask of you but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. 1 Peter 4:10 Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms. 2. The motivation for service is love. 1 Peter 4:8-9 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. 3. The ability and power for service come from God 1 Peter 4:10 Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, ...If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides... 4. The ultimate goal of service is to bring glory to God. 1 Peter 4:11...so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.
