The Effective Church

1)     The effective church follows God’s new direction. 

a)  It accepts changes from previous instruction.

Acts 11:8 "I replied, 'Surely not, Lord! Nothing impure or unclean has ever entered my mouth.'  9 "The voice spoke from heaven a second time, 'Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.'   

b)  It follows the direction of the Holy Spirit.

     Acts 11:12 The Spirit told me to have no hesitation about going with  them. These six brothers also went with me, and we entered the man's house.

2)     The effective church accepts God’s new work. 

a)  It recognizes the new work of God.

Acts 11:17 So if God gave them the same gift as he gave us, who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to think that I could oppose God?"  

b)  It praises the new work of God.

Acts 11:18 When they heard this, they had no further objections and praised God, saying, "So then, God has granted even the Gentiles repentance unto life."  

3)     The effective church may face initial objection but it must persevere.     

Acts 11:2  So when Peter went up to Jerusalem, the circumcised believers criticized him 3 and said, "You went into the house of uncircumcised men and ate with them."

1)     Hoäi Thaùnh höõu hieäu ñi theo ñöôøng loái môùi cuûa Chuùa. 

a)      Chaáp nhaän nhöõng thay ñoåi töø  ñöôøng loái cuõ.

Coâng vuï 11:8 Ta thöa raèng: Laïy Chuùa, chaúng vaäy; vì khoâng bao giôø coù vaät chi dô daùy hay chaúng saïch vaøo mieäng toâi ñaâu.  Tieáng töø trôøi phaùn cuøng ta laàn thöù hai maø raèng: Chôù coi ñieàu Chuùa ñaõ laøm cho tinh saïch nhö laø dô daùy. 

b)      Böôùc theo söï chæ daãn cuûa Ñöùc Thaùnh Linh.

Coâng vuï 11:12 Ñöùc Thaùnh Linh truyeàn cho ta phaûi ñi vôùi ba ngöôøi aáy, ñöøng nghi ngaïi gì. Naày, saùu ngöôøi anh em ñaây ñoàng ñi vôùi ta, vaø chuùng ta ñeàu vaøo trong nhaø Coït-naây. 

2)     Hoäi thaùnh höõu hieäu  nhaän laõnh coâng vieäc môùi cuûa Chuùa.  

a)      Nhaän bieát coâng vieäc môùi cuûa Chuùa.

Coâng vuï 11:17 Vaäy, neáu Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi Ñaõ ban cho hoï cuõng moät ôn nhö cho chuùng ta, laø keû ñaõ tin Ñeán Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus Christ, thì ta laø ai, maø ngaên trôû Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ñöôïc? 

b)      Ngôïi khen coâng vieäc môùi cuûa Chuùa.

Coâng vuï 11:18 Tín ñoà nghe baáy nhieâu lôøi xong, ñeàu thoûa thuaän vaø ngôïi khen Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, raèng: Vaäy Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi cuõng ñaõ ban söï aên naên cho ngöôøi ngoaïi ñeå hoï ñöôïc söï soáng! 

3)     Hoäi thaùnh höõu hieäu coù theå gaëp söï baát ñoàng luùc ñaàu nhöng phaûi kieân nhaãn.

Coâng vuï 11:2 Khi Phi -e-rô ñaõ trôû leân thaønh Gieâ-ru-sa-lem, coù ngöôøi tín ñoà voán chòu pheùp caét bì traùch moùc ngöôøi,  raèng: Ngöôi ñaõ vaøo nhaø keû chöa chòu pheùp caét-bì, vaø aên chung vôùi hoï ...
