Following Christ

1.   Following Christ is having the supreme love for Christ.

     NIV Philippians 1:21 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

     NIV Philippians 3:8 What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things.  I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ. 

2.   Following Christ means you must put Christ above other conflicting loves.

1. Your love for the old sinful desire (Luke 14:27, Gal 2:20, 5:24)

2. Your love for the worldly possession (Luke 14:33, Mat 19:21, Mark 10:21)

3. Your love for family and the self (Luke 14:26)     

3.   Following Christ produces the visible signs of spiritual life.

1. Obey Christ's teaching (John 8:31)

2. Love one another (John 13:35)

3. Bear much fruit (John 15:8) 

4.   Christ invites you to be His committed follower.

      NIV Mark 1:17 "Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men."

1.     Theo Chuùa laø daønh tình yeâu toái cao cho Chuùa.

VIE Philippians 1:21 Vì ñaáng Christ laø söï soáng cuûa toâi, vaø söï cheát laø ñieàu ích lôïi cho toâi vaäy.

VIE Philippians 3:8 Toâi cuõng coi heát thaûy moïi söï nhö laø söï loã, vì söï nhaän bieát Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus Christ laø quí hôn heát, Ngaøi laø Chuùa toâi, vaø toâi vì Ngaøi maø lieàu boû moïi ñieàu lôïi ñoù. Thaät, toâi xem nhöõng ñieàu ñoù nhö rôm raùc, haàu cho ñöôïc ñaáng Christ

2.     Theo Chuùa laø ñaët Chuùa leân treân nhöõng ñam meâ khaùc.

a.     Ñam meâ con ngöôøi toäi loãi cuõ (Luca 14:27, Gal 2:20, Gal 5:24)

b.     Ñam meâ cuûa caûi ôû theá gian (Luca 14:33, Mat 19:21, Mark 10:21).

c.     Ñam meâ ngöôøi thaân vaø chính mình (Luca 14:26)

3.     Theo Chuùa seõ coù nhöõng daáu hieäu cuûa ñôøi soáng thuoäc linh maïnh meõ.

a.     Vaâng phuïc söï daïy doã cuûa Chuùa (Gi 8:31)

b.     Yeâu thöông nhau (Gi 13:35)

c.     Keát nhieàu quaû (Gi 15:8)

4.     Chuùa môøi goïi chuùng ta theo Ngaøi

VIE Mark 1:17 Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus beøn phaùn cuøng hoï raèng: Haõy theo ta, vaø ta seõ khieán caùc ngöôi trôû neân tay ñaùnh löôùi ngöôøi.
