The Law of Rest

1.      God established the law of rest.

NIV Genesis 2:2 By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested  from all his work.

NIV Ecclesiastes 3:1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:

2.      The most needed rest is rest of the soul.

NIV Jeremiah 6:16 This is what the LORD says: "Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls….'

3.      You will find rest for your soul only in God.

 NIV Matthew 11:28 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

4.      Follow God’s law of rest.

Exodus 20: 8 "Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work …”

Luaät cuûa Söï Nghæ Ngôi

             Kinh Thaùnh: Leâ-vi-kyù 25:1-55

1.     Chuùa thieát laäp luaät cuûa söï nghæ ngôi.

VIE Genesis 2:2 Ngaøy thöù baûy, Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi laøm xong caùc coâng vieäc Ngaøi ñaõ laøm, vaø ngaøy thöù baûy, Ngaøi nghæ caùc coâng vieäc Ngaøi ñaõ laøm.

VIE Ecclesiastes 3:1 Phaøm söï gì coù thì tieát; moïi vieäc döôùi trôøi coù kyø ñònh.

2.     Söï nghæ ngôi caàn thieát nhaát laø söï nghæ ngôi cuûa linh hoàn.

VIE Jeremiah 6:16 Ñöùc Gieâ-hoâ-va phaùn nhö vaày: Haõy ñöùng treân caùc ñöôøng caùi vaø nhìn xem; tra xeùt nhöõng ñöôøng loái cuõ, xem thöû ñöôøng toát ôû ñaâu: haõy ñi ñöôøng aáy, thì caùc ngöôi seõ ñöôïc söï an nghæ cho linh hoàn mình…”

3.     Chuùng ta chæ  tìm ñöôïc söï nghæ ngôi cuûa linh hoàn trong Chuùa.

VIE Matthew 11:28 Hôõi nhöõng keû meät moûi vaø gaùnh naëng, haõy ñeán cuøng ta, ta seõ cho caùc ngöôi ñöôïc yeân nghæ. 29 Ta coù loøng nhu mì, khieâm nhöôøng; neân haõy gaùnh laáy aùch cuûa ta, vaø hoïc theo ta; thì linh hoàn caùc ngöôi seõ ñöôïc yeân nghæ.

4.     Vaâng theo luaät nghæ ngôi cuûa Chuùa.

VIE Exodus 20:9 Ngöôi haõy laøm heát coâng vieäc mình trong saùu ngaøy; 10 nhöng ngaøy thöù baûy laø ngaøy nghæ cuûa Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi ngöôi: trong ngaøy ñoù, ngöôi, con trai, con gaùi toâi trai tôù gaùi, suùc vaät cuûa ngöôi, hoaëc khaùch ngoaïi bang ôû trong nhaø ngöôi,ñeàu chôù laøm coâng vieäc chi heát.
