A godly father has the responsibility to discipline
his children. Hebrews 12:7 Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father ? Hebrews 12:9 Moreover, we have all had human fathers
who disciplined us and we respected them for it. Hebrews 12:11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time,
but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of
righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. 2.
A
godly father disciplines his children with compassion and
sensitivity. Luke 15:20 "But while he was still a long way off, his
father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to
his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. Ephesians 6:4 Fathers , do not exasperate your children;
instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. Colossians 3:21 Fathers , do not embitter your children,
or they will become discouraged. 3.
A
godly father imparts wisdom on his children. Proverb 10:1 A wise son brings joy to his father , but a foolish son grief to his
