The Marred Image

1.      The first man and woman were created in the glorious image of God.

Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

2.      The image of God in people was marred after they lost the relationship with God.

Gen 3:23  So the LORD God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken.

3.      Today, people live in a state of hopelessness because they have lost the relationship with God.

Rom 1:21-23 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.

4.      Christ is the hope for mankind: He is restoring the image of God in those who put their trust in Him.

Titus 2:13-14  while we wait for the blessed hope — the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself  for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

1.      Ngöôøi Nam vaø Nöõ ñaàu tieân ñöôïc döïng neân trong aûnh töôïng vinh quang cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi

Saùng Theá Kyù 1:27 Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi döïng neân loaøi ngöôøi nhö hình Ngaøi; Ngaøi döïng neân loaøi ngöôøi gioáng nhö hình Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi; Ngaøi döïng neân ngöôøi nam cuøng ngöôøi nöõ.

2.      Hình aûnh cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi bò hö hoaïi sau khi  loaøi ngöôøi maát moái lieân heä vôùi Thöôïng Ñeá.

Saùng Theá Kyù 3:23 Gieâ-hoâ-va Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi beøn ñuoåi loaøi ngöôøi ra khoûi vöôøn Eâ-ñen ñaëng caøy caáy ñaát, laø nôi coù ngöôøi ra.

3.      Ngaøy nay, loaøi ngöôøi  soáng trong tuyeät voïng vì hoï ñaõ maát moái lieân heä vôùi Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

Roâ ma 1:21 vì hoï daãu bieát Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, maø khoâng laøm saùng danh Ngaøi laø Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi, vaø khoâng taï ôn Ngaøi nöõa; song cöù laàm laïc trong lyù töôûng hö khoâng, vaø loøng ngu doát ñaày nhöõng söï toái taêm. 22 Hoï töï xöng mình laø khoân ngoan, maø trôû neân ñieân daïi; 23 hoï ñaõ ñoåi vinh hieån cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi khoâng heà hö naùt laáy hình töôïng cuûa loaøi ngöôøi hay hö naùt, hoaëc cuûa ñieåu, thuù, coân truøng.

4.      Ñaáng Christ laø nieàm hy voïng cuûa nhaân loaïi: Ngaøi hoài phuïc laïi hình aûnh vinh quang cuûa Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi.

Tít 2:13 chôø ñôïi söï troâng caäy haïnh phöôùc cuûa chuùng ta, vaø söï hieän ra cuûa söï vinh hieån Ñöùc Chuùa Trôøi lôùn vaø Cöùu Chuùa chuùng ta, laø Ñöùc Chuùa Jeâsus Christ, 14 laø ñaáng lieàu mình vì chuùng ta, ñeå chuoäc chuùng ta khoûi moïi toäi vaø laøm cho saïch, ñaëng laáy chuùng ta khoûi moïi toäi vaø laøm moät daân thuoäc rieâng veà Ngaøi, laø daân coù loøng soát saéng veà caùc vieäc laønh.
